Rising damp is an accumulation of water and humidity under the basement and barricades of structures. It can be a widespread problem with ancestral houses that are constructed with slab or sandstone substructures. These foundations can serve as a scrounger to the damp in the ground, absorbing water into walls and giving you the nasty effects of rising damp.

Majority houses that do not have damp course fitted (a plastic lining) have a higher chance of Rising Damp. Sloppy workmanship in the course of the induction of concrete block and inadequate water drain on elevated land inclines can also build deep challenges for home and prime contractors. Out of date or failed waterproofing pipes can also be the culprit when attempting to find the problem area.
